Religion Is In The Eyes Of The Beholder

There is a movie with the same title as this post, but this post is not about a movie, this is about religion is in the eyes of the beholder.

Almost everyone on earth has some type of religion, the problem is everyone thinks that their religion is the only correct religion and everyone else should convert to their religion.

The title of this post is ‘religion is in the eyes of the beholder’ , but it is becoming untrue because most religious people believe if you are not in their religion, then you have no religion at all and you are just wasting your time.

It would be surprising if all of the religions that have a God, was all referring to the same God, but they just used different names for their God. I am not talking about the sun or moon as a god, I know some religions refer to the sun and/or the moon as a god.

All religion has some type of book or manuscript in which they are governed by. Here are two religions that maybe similar but neither of them really read the others books or manuscripts, they are Christians and Muslims. They both assume that their religion is the right religion.

It seems to me that some Christians and Muslims are always at each other throat and usually people who have a lot in common just can’t seems to get along. The Muslims are saying this or that about the Christians, and I can remember seeing on the news a Christian Preacher burning The Quorum in public.

One of the problems is some of the Muslims assume all Christians are the same and vise versa. No one is willing to judge each individual on their own merits, there are good and bad people in all religions. It is not supposed to be that way but let’s face it, that’s the way it is.

You don’t have to go along with someone else’s religion but you don’t have to trash it either. If you are asked to participate in a religion you believe is not right for you, just simple say something like “Not at this time, but thanks for inviting me”.

It does not matter what your religion is your God wants you to love everyone, no matter what their religion is. Some people just can’t seem to get that, yet they claim to be so religious. These are the same people that go to the worship place every Sunday and sit on or near the front row.

The next time you hear someone say something bad about another religion, if you don’t have anything good to say about that religion, just walk away from that conversation. Always pray to your God for forgiveness for yourself and everyone else, because we all make mistakes.
