If you are one of the people who are trying to spread the word and convert nonbelievers into believers, only tell them what they need to know. Do not try to be Jesus, let Jesus do his job, and you do your job, you cannot change a person’s heart and/or mind, but Jesus can. After all, this is about how to help nonbelievers.
Nonbelievers know very little about God and Jesus’s laws, rules, and commandments. The only Godly stuff they know is what God placed in their hearts and minds before they were born, such as the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, etc… but how does this fit in with daily living, they haven’t the smallest clue.
The reason we have not been as successful as we should be in converting nonbelievers is, we just assume nonbelievers already know about Jesus, we have not explained the reason someone should or would come to Jesus. We could say Jesus will make them wealthy, but there is a good chance Jesus will not make them wealthy.
If we tell the people Jesus will make them wealthy, and he does not do it, the people will call us liars, and not trust us anymore. I came to Jesus about eight months ago, and I am not wealthy yet, I am not saying I will not get wealthy one day.
I have been blessed and I have found peace of mind lately. So, I will tell nonbelievers about my blessings and peace of mind, these are things I know for sure have happened to me. While most nonbelievers will come to Jesus for wealth, there are still some nonbelievers who would love to be blessed and have peace of mind.
In my case, Jesus blessed me and gave me peace of mind. Now while you may not think peace of mind means that much. During the bad weather of 02/12-19/2021, my electricity did not go off, my water was OK, and I did not worry at all about food or anything that was not spiritual or somewhere in that area.
I will be telling nonbelievers about the peace Jesus gives to people, where you do not have to worry about what you and your family will eat or wear anymore. I will tell them what Jesus has done for me in hopes that it will convince them to want to change. This really is a laid-back kind of lifestyle.
Whatever it is Jesus has done for you, use that as a tool to try to persuade nonbelievers to come to Jesus. Nonbelievers do not know if anything in the bible is true anyway, so do not be reading a lot of bible scriptures to them, because you will not convince them by that.
Since we are trying to get nonbelievers to come to Jesus, let’s not tell them anything that may discourage them, even though it may be true. For instance, the bible states that divorce is permitted on only two conditions, but I assume that 10-15% or more of the people we are trying to convert, are divorced for one reason another, and some of them have remarried. If you have to talk about divorce to a nonbeliever, tell them about the woman at the well John 4:16-18.
When you are out trying to get nonbelievers to convert to believers do not be speaking in tongues, unless there is someone there who can translate what you said. You have to be a true believer and not religious to convince people to come to Jesus.
Do not tell nonbelievers they have to change the way they live overnight, tell them Jesus will help get rid of all the bad stuff they are doing now, in due time. So, let us get out there and start converting nonbelievers, be sure to follow all of the COVID-19 precautions.
