I think there are very few people, if any, on this earth who has not disobeyed at least one of God’s laws. Thank God mercy prevails over judgment.
Most of us know that we are all sinners; we attribute that to the fact that Adam and Eve sinned, but the truth is Adam and Eve sinned because they are in a flesh body just like we are. These flesh bodies cannot obey all of God’s laws. Many humans would end up in hell because of God’s laws.
God knew these human bodies could not obey his laws, which would separate from him. But God had a plan all along that would redeem us from our sins, but our sinning was not the main reason for the laws; the law was to show us we needed someone else because we cannot survive under the law. Being forgiven for our sins eliminates the fact we disobeyed God’s laws.
God wants all humans (spirits) to end up in heaven, but our hearts must change to live in heaven; not just any spirit can live in heaven. God sent Jesus his Son (God’s spirit in a human body), to earth to die a physical death for everyone so that no one would ever have to die a spiritual death.
You probably have read or heard, “The wage for sins is death.” That was a scare tactic of God trying to scare us, humans, into obeying his law. God knew he would send Jesus to earth to die a physical death for everyone, so we would not have to go to hell for our sins, but the point was for The Jews to learn to obey His laws.
Our spirits cannot have a peaceful existence in heaven if we cannot meet the requirements it takes to exist in heaven. Jesus did not die to make us obey the laws; it is the new way to go to heaven through faith in Jesus since we cannot follow the law.
Most of us have heard the word “repentance” we thought it meant to stop sinning, but in reality, it means stop disobeying God’s laws. If you obey God’s laws, you cannot sin; it is that simple. The problem is our flesh bodies will always encourage us to disobey God’s laws.
We will never be able to entirely obey all of God’s laws as long as we are in these flesh bodies. The point is to make us realize we have disobeyed God’s law and regret doing it. When we understand what we have done, it decreases the chance of you breaking that law again.
A gospel singer named “Donnie McClurkin” sang a song titled “We Fall Down but We Get Up,” which means we will continue disobeying some of God’s laws sometimes. But now we have a savior who should make us love Jesus more.
When judgment day comes, we will not have to stand in front of Jesus and give an account of our sins because we have faith and believe Jesus died for our sins. God gave us all confidence and knowledge when we were born; our job is to increase our faith and knowledge of God through believing in Jesus. The more we grow our faith and knowledge of Jesus, the more loyalty he will give us.
I often ask for a heart like Jesus, but it is probably impossible for us to have that kind of heart, so I constantly thank Jesus for His mercy and grace. I know I am not the only one thanking Him, for I know many believers are in this world.
