Have you ever seen a miracle happen, I have, and it happened to me? Now I can actually talk about a true story of a miracle.
I had heard about miracles happening, but I really did not believe it, because I had never seen one actually happen. This is really a story about a miracle.
Jesus performed lots of miracles in his time, you can read about them in the new testaments of the bible. Jesus performed a miracle on me, I thanked him for performing the miracle on me, so I could walk again after being confined to a wheelchair for six months.
The most important thing I learned while I was in the wheelchair, is Jesus can and does perform miracles. The second important thing I learned is to be more considerate of people in wheelchairs. Whenever I saw people in wheelchairs, I did not give it much thought, but I do now.
I was in need of both of my knees being replaced, I knew my knees needed replacing, but I did not know it would keep me from walking. When I could no longer walk, I found myself in a wheelchair, I asked doctors about my condition, but they did not know why I could not walk. I thought the reason I could not walk was because I needed knee surgery, once I have the surgery I will walk again.
Being confined to a wheelchair for a person who has walked all of my life, was really hard for me. Then I started thinking about the people who have been confined to a wheelchair for a long period of time, and what they have to go through daily.
Just going to the bathroom to urinate is a problem if you are in a wheelchair, if you cannot stand up, like I could not, you have to slide yourself out of the wheelchair onto the toilet seat and reverse that action when you are done.
People who have been confined to a wheelchair for a long period of time have found a way to accomplish most tasks, but there is no substitute for standing and walking. I will be more considerate of people in wheelchairs from now on.
After I started walking again the awful pain in my knees went away. At first, I did not thank God for my recovery from being confined to the wheelchair, because I thought it was something that would not last too long anyway. I soon realized the doctors did not know why I could not walk, yet I could not walk.
I know this is a miracle and now I thank God daily. God probably has performed a miracle in your life too. Try to think back to when something in your life was not right, but it got corrected without any other humanitarian assistance.
When I was confined to that wheelchair I had to move in with my daughter because I needed her help with daily living, plus my house is old and my wheelchair will not go through the narrow bathroom doors in my home.
The real miracle about this situation is I did not ask Jesus to help me walk again, but I did ask him a few times to relieve the awful pain, but he did not relieve the pain, then I realized this is something I am going to have to go through. I have to acknowledge I am walking again without surgery, which is a miracle to me.
Miracles happen somewhere all of the time, they are just not always reported for some reason or another. Usually, when most authorities discover a strange situation they do not understand or cannot explain, they tend to hide that type of information from the general public, they claim it is the best solution for the people.
