You Never Know What Someone Is Going Through

November 24, 2020 cPiulb@ Leave a Comment

In this day and time, more people are struggling daily, than usual. And you may never know what someone is going through.

This situation is brought on mostly by COVID 19, in which a lot of people are not employed for one reason or another. Another major contributor to the hard times we are facing is an unstable economy, hatred, and racism.

Most people who are not doing too well financially, mentally, and physically, will not or cannot reveal their living conditions to potential helpers. Some of these suffering people believe God will rescue them from this misfortune. God may help these people, then again, he may not help in the way they expect him to.

All people should be on the lookout for struggling people (families). These people may walk around with a smile on their face, and wearing their best clothing, at the same time they are hurting and struggling just to make it day to day. So you may never know what someone is going through.

Determining who is struggling will basically have to be done by neighbors, if neighbors are truly good watchful neighbors, they already know which neighbors are struggling, and going Through hard times. If you are observant of your needy neighbors, then by all means help them.

Some people will not let you know they need help, but if you are a good watchful neighbor, don’t ask them if they need help, because you already know they need help. And sometimes you have to force them to accept what you are giving, by taking help to their residence or someplace where they have access to and leave the assistance there.

If you knock on someone’s door that you know they are in need of some type of assistance, and they tell you they don’t need assistance, you should leave with them whatever type of assistance you brought to give them. They may say no with their mouth, but their hearts are saying something different.

Ask the next-door neighbors about the living condition of the people you are concerned about. If you live next door to a person or family you know need of some type of assistance, if you cannot assist them, tell others who can assist them with their conditions and needs.

While Jesus will support and protect his own people, a large number of the people who are struggling to survive today don’t know Jesus. They simply will not and cannot ask someone they don’t know for help, so, it is the duty of the people who do know Jesus, to pray for Jesus to assist their neighbors with their needs.

Thursday will be Thanks-giving day 2020. My wife is deceased, but my youngest daughter has already planned a big thanksgiving-day dinner for us. There are people everywhere who will not have a Thanksgiving Day dinner of any kind.

None of our closest neighbors are in need of financial assistance, because I would know that, but just because they are financially OK, does not mean they are spiritually OK. That is another job that neighbors are responsible for, praying for one another.

We have to make it a habit of making ourselves available to other people whether they are in need or not. Seek out something you can do to help other people, whether it is something major or something small, someone will benefit from it.

So, let’s finish this year out and continue into the new year helping our neighbors and anyone else who needs any kind of assistance. OK, you cannot provide financial assistance, because you are not financially stable yourself. But search your heart, mind, and resources to see if there is something else you can contribute, do so and you will receive a blessing.
